SAAA Shares Fundraiser Profits with Greyhound Baseball Boosters

The Shippensburg Area Athletic Association and the Shippensburg Greyhound Baseball Boosters joined forces to sell 300 tickets for a prize/cash drawing. The fundraiser was ran by the SAAA and the baseball boosters helped with selling tickets. For their effort in selling tickets, the Athletic Association agreed to give them a portion of the proceeds, based off the number of tickets they sold.

The SAAA was impressed with the out come of ticket sales that they decided to make a donation of $1000 to the Shippensburg Greyhound Baseball Booster Club. That amount is above and beyond the agreed upon amount between the two organization. But the Athletic Association understand that last year was a hard year for the Booster Club and the people they represent.

Last year due to Covid the High School baseball season was cut short. We understand the emotional and financial stress last year played on the players, coaches, and parents. Even though there was no season, upkeep to the field was still needed for it to be in tip top shape for the 2021 season. We hope this monetary donation we elevate some of the emotional and financial stress from last year.

It was a privilege and honor to work with the Shippensburg Greyhound Baseball Booster Club. We look forward to working together in the future! The Shippensburg Area Athletic Association wishes the Greyhound High School baseball team a healthy and successful 2021 season! Go Hounds!
